Volunteers
Information for our 3rd Festival Internacional de Arte Marbella which will be held on 23 to 26 June 2011. Prior to the event we need volunteers with a wide range of specialities to help make the festival a success. If you have time and a can-do attitude we’d love to hear from you. We will post further information on this website of specific roles we have in mind. The 3rd Festival Internacional de Arte Marbella takes place in June 23 to 26 2011 in the Alameda Park and Avenida del Mar in the centre of Marbella. The 1st and 2nd festivals have been a tremendous success with around 100 artists showcasing their art, a myriad of live entertainment and an over 20,000 visitors.
An essential ingredient for a successful and smooth running festival is the kind people who volunteer their time and knowledge to help with various tasks during the days of the festival. We had a fantatic team in 2010 and most of the volunteers will be assisting us again , but with the growth of the festival we need more people to join us . We hope you will be one of them.
Leading up to the festival, early June, we will arrange one or two meetings to introduce all volunteers to each other, circulate contact list and give a brief of the event, people, procedures, dealing with any incidents, reporting etc. A final pre-event meeting will be held close to the event to show the set-up and to ensure all are happy and comfortable with their roles. After the event, we will have a thank you get together for the volunteers.
Areas to be covered during the festival:
- Festival tent (providing relevant information to visitors).
- Press and media co-ordination in Festival tent –Spanish/English speakers.
- VIP event check-in for inaugural evening.
- Receiving and “checking in” artists on their arrival at Alameda parking garage for set-up on Thursday 23rd June and break-up on Sunday 26th June. Times to advise
- Organizing and overseeing student helpers. Distribution of programmes.
- ” Tent sit” for artists who need to leave their tents for short periods of time
- Carry out survey of visitor response to the Festival.
- Carry out survey among the artists
Festival Schedule:
- Thu 23 June: Artists set up from 09.00 to 17.30.
- Thu 23June: 19.00 – 23.00 (Inauguration 19.30 – 22.30)
- Fri 24 June: 12.00 – 23.00
- Sat 25 June: 12.00 – 23.00
- Sun 26 June: 12.00 – 22.30
